Cedros came up with the idea of distributing icing sugar and peanuts in penny packs. Eventually, he came up with the idea of distributing peanuts and icing sugar in rum bottles. He slowly expanded the product line and the premises of his workspace. He further added butternuts in gold wrapper and waxed paper. Baking powder, jub-jubs and, dinner mints were also added to Regal’s product line.

A Cedros migant to Curepe, purchased a closed company from the widow of the original owner in about 1960 or 1961.
The premises were in BAratatria and made Icing Sugar and Chocolates prior to the death of the original owner.
The new owner, then continued in Icing Sugar and added Peanuts in "Penny PAck and eventually was the first to put in rum bottles around 1965. BY that time, he moved the operartions to Curepe where he made Butternuts in the gold wrapper and waxed paper, BAking poeder, jub-jub, dinner mints and other products.
Togehter with his wife, In 1975, the plant moved to St. Augustine South and continued by vacuum canning peanuts and cashews for Regal and other brands including the most famous nut brand (Planters) for export and local consumption.
This went on through the eighties and more products were added while some were dropped. (Baking Powder, Custard Powder,BAking Soda etc. In the 80s & nineties, his two sons joined, having always been part of the operations in different ways as you would expect with family businesses.
As one son became, entrenced in the operations in the late 80s, he kept adding new products to the range and continued contract packing flexible pillow packs in the first decade of the new millenium. He was also responsible for a vast improvement in packaging standards in the early 2000s . Constantly, Regal mantained very high standards for ingredients as evident in our insistence to stick with a source of peanuts while others moved to the Chineese nuts, Italian Extra Virgin Oil only, European BAking Soda, California for most exotic nuts like Almonds, PEcans, walnuuts, Spain for Corn Flour, all the while, improving packaging where feasible.
On the retirement of the Cedros father, the wife and two sons continue the operations, one handling new products and production, the other marketing & distribution . Our lines include "Multi and single serve snacks and trail mixes, ingredients for baking, healthy fruits and nuts like prune, dates, cranberries, pecans, almonds, walnuts, cashews and off course peanuts and now we are doing peas and beans like split peas, lentils, red beans and Black eye peas.
We continue to serve the nation and the greater Caribbean with these products.
